Dueling Giveaways!! Polaris Ranger Crew Diesel and The Rule of Three’s Giveaways

polaris540

Well, you’ve found us!  We are a new page dedicated to emergency preparedness, survival,  homesteading and all of the gear and gadgets that go along with it.  You probably found us because we are giving away a Polaris Ranger Crew Diesel, but we hope you are interested in the aforementioned subjects.  We are looking for some friends that want to learn to be self-sufficient and self-reliant.  The Tin Hat Ranch wants to get as many folks together as possible and teach and entertain as best we can.  We are not like the other pages, we generate our own content.  We have four writers dedicated to bringing you something you can learn from everyday.  What do I mean by this?  Check out some of our recent articles:

Oh!  The Giveaway.  Well, we actually have TWO major giveaways going on right now.  The first is our 10,000 likes giveaway that has a TON of survival gear, over a $1000 in fact.  Check out what is included in the giveaway:

pftfolder

NEW! Purefire Tactical Firestarter– The folks over at Purefire Tactical were kind enough to offer us a firestarter as a prize for the mega-giveaway.  These are the best firestarters in the business with the purest magnesium.  You can start a fire in confidence no matter what the conditions.  The Tin Hat Ranch recently reviewed the Purefire

schrade

NEW! Schrade SCHF9 Extreme Survival Knife– Schrade makes some good knives and the SCHF9 if one of the best that they make.  If I had to describe it in one word, it would be a “brute”.  Excellent for chopping and batoning this is one solid knife.   It doesn’t hurt that this knife generally comes in at $40 bucks or less.  Check out our review of the Schrade SCHF9.

bgas mask

Israeli Civilian Gas Mask w/ Nato Filter– Poisoned air is probably the least likely scenario to befall you but if it happens the game is over.  While I haven’t “tested” this piece of gear by poisoning the air I can count on the Israeli’s.  This gas mask has been through a few trials and replacement cartridges are available.

btent

Alps Mountaineering Chaos 2–  I’ve spent many nights in this tent.  It has always held up, never leaked and with the rainfly offers 3 season comfort.  When considering a bug out or camping tent there are a few things that need to be considered beyond quality and comfort, namely pack size and weight.  While there are smaller and lighter tents out there they are usually double and triple the cost of this tent.  Total pack weight with tent, fly, and poles is 5lbs 5oz.  Pack size is 6.5”x22” but if you carry the poles on the outside of your pack it is much smaller.  We’ve included the floor saver to help protect the bottom of your tent.

cosmic downb

Kelty Cosmic Down 20 Degree Sleeping Bag– There is no other bag on the market that is this light, packs this small, and won’t break the bank.  I alternate between this bag and a tiny 40 degree and when it drops below 20 I combine them both.  This bag outperforms others that cost 3 times as much in EN tests.

bSawyer

Sawyer Personal Water Filter –  I’ve used this water filter in many states on camping trips and I have yet to experience “Montezuma’s Revenge”.  It functions using what is basically a mechanical kidney and there a no filters to ever replace.  It filters water to levels that meet or exceed EPA recommendations, just fill the supplied water bottle, screw on the filter portion, and start drinking.  It is perfect for camping and on the run use.

bMountain house

Mountain House 72 Hour Emergency Meal Kit–  All I can say about Mountain House is it is the best freeze dried food in existence.  Shh, don’t tell Mrs. Liberty, but I kind of prefer this stuff to her cooking.  It is compact, lightweight, and in the pouch it lasts 7 years.  Just boil some water and you have a great meal.

bcoyote

Kelty Coyote 80 Backpack–  You’ve seen this pack in many of my videos.  While a little on the larger size for a 1 person bug out bag I am going to assume that most of you have families to take care of.  While I have smaller packs for camping, this is my family bug out bag.  It isn’t the cheapest but it does offer great performance at a price significantly less than other brands.  It is solid, rugged, and not too heavy.  It will have no problem swallowing all of this gear and a lot more.

bolt

Goal Zero Bolt Focus Flashlight–  Lots of features in this inexpensive light, USB recharging, focusing light, bright 3W LED.  Click here to check out our review!

We are getting REALLY close to triggering this one.  All you have to do to enter is like our page and COMMENT on the giveaway Facebook post
